So they started announcing to some of them they they were trans. And made them take hrt, get surgery, change names etc.
The doc managed to not be transphobic, they had a writer/academic jules forgetherlastname who is decent i think to provide context. It is just one of a series of very strange cult things.
Somewhat surprised it doesnt become a moral panic. Too complicated i guess. Too undeniably christian.
