I have a brand new, unused one as well but I’m saving it untill this one is no longer good. This is roughly 7 years old and gets used monthly. I always put a trash bag over it which is why it’s still relatively clean.
Don’t be surprised if it starts shivering its timbers and hoarding booty now, though.
With that kind of frugality, you’ll be rich in no time!
Why do you paint monthly?
I work as a handyman and painting is the most common work people buy from me.
You can fix an incredibly diverse range of objects with a 2x4 and some screws
Or a cheap 3d printer. I never buy replacement parts unless they need a specific plastic for chemical or extreme heat.
That still remains unexplored territory for me but I can imagine the range of 3D printed solutions to mundane problems once I finally join in.

When you switch to the new one don’t forget to remove & reuse the peg and screws for something else!
Take forks. A cheap plastic fork many times breaks on first use. A nicer plastic fork can last for hundreds of uses, although intended for the same life time. A steel fork lasts (AFAiK) forever. Getting disposable products over the first hump of the bathtub curve leads to some interesting bathtub curves.
It looks brand new.
