IIRC, Stevie Wonder isn’t 100% blind. He is capable of the vague discernment of light and dark and extremely vague shapes. But he is, functionally blind, by any practical definition.
So if someone was approaching him, especially if a group of friends surrounding him might have whispered into his ear, “hey, Michael’s walking up to you!“ He might’ve smiled in time for one of the dozens upon dozens of paparazzi surrounding them both to snap an opportunely-timed photo.
He went blind from being born prematurely and his retinas never developed properly. He might be able to detect light or shadow. But he’s really blind. And has a history of having fun messing with people about it too.
If my eyesight was that bad, i probably wouldn’t take pictures to begin with. Tgis totally brought back some memories that i fell into a rabbit hole of stevie wonder conspiracy theories. I remember that they had some good points, but with every point there was a lot of: what a weird thing to lie about for all that time
