Welp… would be worse the other way round
yeah, that one always freaks me out
When you make two mistakes that cancel out
This is literally 99% of the job of programming. Making seemingly small mistakes that turn a working product into a complex mess of dysfunction. I kinda wish I could just program for fun now and no other reason. Maintaining software that is years old and worked on by very junior devs is…rough
Rest assured it could be worse, I have been unemployed for almost 2 years.
Hey, that’s me! I’ve been working on the code base for so long that I’M the very junior dev whose code needs to be refactored! Very fun!

The customer when my code does what the requirements said and not what the customer actually wanted in their heads.
DWIM (Do What I Mean) shall be the whole of the (AI) Law. Have fun with that managers.
“Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?”
People laugh at that, but many predecessors to his machine would work like that. Solely because they were tricks, sure, but they did output the right answer no matter what you put in
Recently picked up OCaml, and by golly, when I write in OCaml, those two are one and the same. It’s hard to do the wrong thing in this language.
My favorite is when I’m debugging a loop and cause the IDE to crash because of how much is being dumped to stdout
