The DesktopEditors github repo appears to have actual releases now, with multiple download options for various Linux distros, plus Windows and MacOS. While some refinement may still be needed, this represents a usable release without requiring manual building.

    Sure but ODF support doesn’t conflict with that, by all means they should attempt MS compatibility while it’s still so dominant, but not supporting ODF is a choice that will only ensure things will never change.
