I am listening on 5Live and one guy was saying that a) the tackle was bad b) Max’s foot was caught between the Fleetwood player’s legs and he was trying to get free.
I don’t think that’s accurate, based on what I saw. But at the same time, I don’t think his reaction warranted a red. It was a dangerous tackle, although I don’t think the Fleetwood player did is maliciously. Max overreacted for sure. But I didn’t see him kick out. It seemed like he raised his knee to kick out but then caught himself. It was definitely a yellow, but a red was harsh.
