What? That is the most ahistorical nonsense I have ever read. One of Reagan’s first acts as president was establishing a funding grant of 3 billion dollars a year for military procurement. I don’t know what to call 3 billion dollars of arms and munitions anything other than greenlighting a genocide.
In 1985, the Israeli economy entered a freefall where inflation rates spiked northwards of 450%. Then, with Israel on the brink of economic collapse, Reagan approved an emergency 1.5 billion dollar liquid infusion that stabilized the genocidal entity.
Then, during the Iran-Contra affair, the CIA under Reagan provided hundreds of millions of dollars of arms money to Israel so that the Israelis could sell arms to Iran. Money, Israel immediately put to use funding the war in Syria and Lebanon.
The only reason that Reagan cared about Lebanon was because the US was attempting to stabilzie relations with Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Eygpt, and Iraq, and Israel’s actions risked pushing those nations into the Soviet sphere of influence.
