The Republican party is simply the party of Trump; it feels bizarre that a clown like him got so far (until you realize reactionaries always flocked to demagoguery more than they did people with actual solutions) and frankly if he gets his second term I really do think he can convince his voters to support his son. I genuinely can’t imagine Republicans giving a final farewell to a Trump presidency.
