Men against trans people always seem to me like they’re upset about men leaving the man team to join the women team. But women joining the men team is fine, because they really like men more than women.
I get the sense that they’re attracted to (some) trans women and uncomfortable about it and what they think it means about their sexuality.
For any person who is in the described situation: if you find someone attractive who happens to be MTF trans, then it doesn’t really say anything about you, if you’re a straight/cis man. The individual is intentionally trying to pass as female (because that’s what’s comfortable/appropriate for them) and you “fell for it”, or more appropriately, you were convinced by it. They succeeded in their efforts to present themselves as female. That’s it.
When you find out that, maybe they had a penis, or perhaps they still do, and that’s a turn off for you, it changes nothing about who you are or what you like. This is what we like to call a “sexual preference”. Your sexual preference is entirely your choice. Whatever you like in a partner is your preference. The reasons why you like that in a partner, may be bigoted, but simply having a preference does not, and should not, say anything about you or what you stand for.
You like what you like.
How you react when you “find out the truth” will absolutely speak volumes about your character.

to be fair, when a transgirl passes, transphobes will say they’ll never be a woman and look like a man. I always wonder why they care so much. My ex-girlfriend was really transphobic, and i didn’t even know, because it never really came up. One day we were grocery shopping and she pointed at some dude and asked me if i think she’s a “tranny”. I was really confused and didn’t even look and said i really don’t care. A few weeks later we went to a concert and she pointed at a guy with long hair and said: “that guy is 100% a woman”. I said: “who gives a shit, maybe?” She just kept poking. “Does she think we don’t know?” I got so angry and told her to shut up, he’s just trying to live his life. Then she started a huge fight saying that i’m siding with other people instead of her.
