In vitro fertilisation is one of several techniques available to help people with fertility problems have a baby. During IVF, an egg is removed from the woman’s ovaries and fertilised with sperm in a laboratory. The fertilised egg, called an embryo, is then returned to the woman’s womb to grow and develop.
Why do they have an issue with that? Worst I can tell is that they might think it weakens genetics by passing on genes from people who would otherwise struggle to reproduce, therefore making the population more dependent on medical science. I can’t really imagine the religious lot putting any stock in believing in natural selection though.
