Is this also in reference to the bazinga-powered on-site price gouging that’s starting to come into vogue in numerous grocery stores?
Opposing that makes you a communist. If that was so, that’d be a lot of new communists.

A store comes out with a surge pricing scheme and suddenly the “public discourse” is that telling grocery stores what to do is communism.
This is by design. This is PR to get ahead of the lawsuits coming.
I expect plenty of brunch liberals to look down their wine-sniffing noses at everyone else and say “just game the system by using apps and special membership deals to get cheaper prices (that are still higher than they used to be). Skill issue!”

Fuckin hate the homework society libs. Instead of just doing things, you make people waste time with homework. Yes I can get groceries cheaper if I buy them at four different places. But that’s a bullshit society.

“homework society” is a great descriptor, I’ve always had trouble verbalizing why shit like this bugs me so much in a pithy way, I’m gonna use this
Yeah. I mean, it’s fundamentally the bullshit, but I feel like homework also accurately describes it. 401k is another great example, where you’re expected to become a market genius to maximize your retirement.
