13·1 年前Machine translation: In agreement with our Italian friends, we could take advantage of the Vatican power vacuum to launch a special operation on the city, abolish the absolute monarchy and proclaim the Vatican People’s Republic

6·1 年前To second this - Thinkpads in my experience have been pretty solid. I’m still using the second hand x280 I bought a few years ago and installed linux on. It took a big hit and the screen smashed so bought a replacement (higher resolution) third party screen on aliexpress. I poured a glass of water on the keyboard. It still worked but some of the keys had to be pressed quite hard, so I got a replacement keyboard also on aliexpress, was pretty easy to install (youtube video plus 20 mins time, the replacement even came with the screwdriver I needed). I treat it pretty rough but it keeps ticking along. I don’t think I’d ever buy a new laptop unless I could expense it. Plenty of second hand thinkpads online with decent processors / ram. idk if they’re any good for gaming but for work/web browsing they’re great.

2·2 年前I started doing it to lose weight. I lost 2lb per week for a period of 10 weeks. Since then I have continued doing it, but much less strictly. I don’t eat breakfast and try to have a small lunch (like 2 pieces of toast), then I have a very large dinner at around 6pm. I honestly think I feel much better in the mornings, and I don’t get sleepy in the afternoons. The way I started was to slowly push back the time I ate something at the start of the day. At first I didn’t eat until mid morning, then after a few days I didn’t eat until lunch time, then mid afternoon. After a week or so I was no eating anything until my evening meal.
I really like kde but yeah I have to admit the launcher is kinda goofy like that. Also would prefer if it had similar defaults to XFCE like multiple virtual desktops, ctrl+alt+t to open a terminal and ctrl+alt+left/right to switch desktops. I always have to dig into their labyrinthine system settings menus to add those shortcuts and some extra desktops after a fresh install.
