You are right it doesnt really makes sense to compare them that way, it was just what the initial comment was doing. Nuclear fission is in itself only like 30% efficient. There are of course tons of metrics to compare these things, I personally like space-time efficiency or CO2/MWh.

Ludwigsburg ist eine mittelgroße Stadt nahe Stuttgart, der Kern ist ganz ok angebunden, das Umland nicht. Eine Straßenbahn hätte das ändern können. Für eine gefühlt 10 Spuren breite Stroad und viele Tunnel ist natürlich Platz, viele Parkhäuser und trotzdem ist dort jeden Tag Stau, Verkehrschaos, schlechte Luft, Autos parken auf den wenigen Geh- und Radwegen.

Projekte dieser Art werden regelmäßig gestoppt, in kleinen und großen Städten, in abgelegenen 10 Seelen Dörfern, aber auch in gut erreichbaren Vororten. Niemand verlangt, dass das 10 Seelen Dorf eine halbstündliche ICE, Regio, S und U-Bahn Verbindung bekommt, hey vielleicht ist sogar ein 2 stündiger Bus dort zu viel. Aber wie in dem Ausgangsartikel erwähnt haben wir harte Zahlen, dass die meisten eben doch irgendwie abgeholt werden können. Lass es 90% sein oder nur 60% keine Ahnung. Aber das eine entlegene 150 Personen Dorf wird IMMER bei Projekten zum Ausbau von ÖPNV selbst noch in 150.000 Menschen großen Städten herangezogen. Aber nie bei der Frage ob das selbe Dorf eine Straße bekommen soll. Das sind reale Diskussionen, die erst letzte Woche von Politikern vorgetragen wurden. Um ein reales Projekt zu stoppen.

Wir wissen, dass der Autoverkehr für die Gesellschaft nicht so billig ist, wie er zuerst erscheint, wir wissen, dass das Auto das tödlichste Vekehrsmittel ist und wir wissen, dass ÖPNV deutlich Energie- und Platz-effizienter ist.

Deswegen ist so wichtig, das kristallklar darzustellen und das “aber ich lebe auf dem Land” u.ä. Argumente nicht durchgehen zu lassen. Vielleicht sollte ich nächstes mal nicht so scharf/überspitzt formulieren. Andererseits führt der “beide-Seiten-Ansatz” immer zu all dem, was der Ludwigsburger Verkehr jetzt ist: Laut, dreckig, gefährlich, teuer und nicht einmal als Auto-Fan genießbar und das trotz der Tatsache, dass alles darauf ausgerichtet ist.

Empirisch belegt ist die Niederlande heute nicht das Vorzeigemodell für Transport, weil die Rücksicht auf die lauten 150 Dorfbewohner genommen haben und deswegen nicht den Fahrradweg in der Stadt daneben gebaut haben. Die sind auf die Straße gegangen, haben diese blockiert, bei ihren Ministern zuhause aufgekreuzt und eindeutige Argumente wie “Stop de Kindermoord” vorgetragen. Das hat damals und tut aktiv immer noch Leben retten. Und dort frägt niemand “was hatte sie an, als sie überfahren wurde” wie z.B. hier.

Laut Statista ist der Urbanisierungsgrad in Deutschland bei ca. 78%, also wundert einen das kaum.

Gleichzeitig kommt bei jeder Debatte zum ÖPNV der Kommentar “AbEr iCh lEBe auF deM LaNd”, ja schön für dich, aber die meisten leben in oder nahe Städten und die schreiben dir auch nicht den Ausbau deiner Landstraße von Buxtehude nach Kleinunwichtig ab, nur weil sie die selbst nie benutzen werden.

ÖPNV ist Kommunismus, aber vergünstigter Agrardiesel und Landstraßen bis vor ihre Haustüre sind ein völlig legitimer Anreiz.

Wollen selbst in einen verkehrsberuhigten, günstigen Wohnraum mit sauberer Luft, in dem man die Vögel zwitschern hört, leben, aber dieses Recht jedem Stadtbewohner nehmen: “diese Fahrradstraßen und wenige Parkplätze sind Diskriminierung von uns Landleuten [die hier garnicht wohnen]” (Dieter, 57, wohnt 10 Fahrradminuten von einer S-Bahn Station entfernt)
