mike’s an odd one, his commentary is like 50% more “join the vanguard, murder capitalists, they won’t let me say this on the platform so i’m going to spell it out for you” than hasan’s but then also 50% more “being too critical of AOC for too long means you’re going to become a fascist.” i mean, i have seen his commentary being critical of AOC for instance, but he engages less in “join the PSL” than hasan. but he also talks about party discipline more than hasan.

Trying to have liberatory politics in the imperial core is running a difficult gauntlet and we are floating in uncharted waters as well so that adds difficulty.

Buckle up, the takes will get wilder as we approach 2028

    Damn what a loser

Even demsocs should be saying that AOC is the most right-wing candidate they would support.

Fuck me for not wanting to vote for imperialist scum I guess

“what are you going to do? Vote Republican?”

People literally said “yes” and DID vote Republican, you are a dying party, you are in no position to make demands. Give me a reason to vote for you or I will keep voting green in my safe red state, your choice.

I dont understand this. He’s saying the left is either going to support her or not support her? Is there a secret 3rd option, aka, a third camp??

Sure I’ll cast a vote for a social democrat in a presidential election, why not? But considering that is literally 1/1000th of the political work I do in a 4 year period, its like saying I’ll choose to eat captain crunch on a particular day.

You fell for it didn’t you?

They were doing a bit and some cringe banter, they were dating at the time

Also Mike isn’t doing vote blue no matter who shit, he’s calling out fake Jimny Dore style “leftists” who will find the dumbest reasons to trash AOC

Like how many times has Mike called AOC a political incompetent in just the last six months

Mike is a non sectarian Marxist twitch streamer who has exploded in popularity during the last year, six years ago he embarrassed Destiny during a series of debates, so Destiny’s little pro pedo cult have spent years spamming that specific clip of Mike doing some early cringe streamer bit with his girlfriend at the time as a lame gotcha

Mike is hyper critical of AOC but still believes she has utility to the nascent left (I disagree) and he also believes (correctly) she’s going to run for the presidency and put up a decent fight for the nomination and that’s it better she won than Shapiro, Harris or whatever other neolib dipshit runs (boring take but I agree)

I feel like this talk out of terminally online socdems is their attempt to do to revolutionary socialists what the corporate dems are doing to them with Newsom.

i feel very confident in saying that if your politics are serious enough to actually organize within the imperial core (ie they matter), then you are not going to be in a position to become any kind of internet grifter because you will not have a large internet following on twitter or blue skies or whatever. the posters and streamers can contribute to an overall ‘flow’ leftward for randos on the internet but lenin was the first and only poster vanguard and thank god he had to wait for physical mail and periodical publication or he might never have had the time to do the revolution.

I think it’s very telling so many here immediately read this as a dig against themselves when in all honesty Mike was most likely talking about the type of soft “leftists” we would’ve branded as stupidpol back in the day, the type who continuously call us “woke scolds” over on r/Trueanon or the former r/deprogram sub

The type who will in all honesty hate on AOC for all the WRONG reasons

And I’m not gonna make a big deal about the fact someone in this thread just used the number one destiny op smear about Mike from PA, but in the context of the tweet I think that’s really fuckin funny

The purpose and thesis of stupidpol continues to elude me to this day. It’s truly an enigma and I’m not kidding and I’m not exaggerating and I gave an honest try to understand and despite being a leftist and terminally online I didn’t get it

“Socialism” but only for white people, that’s it, that was the pathos and ethos…r/Stupidpol was founded because a bunch of chapo posters were banned for arguing that Native Americans were ethno-nationalists who should be marginalized politically

Too many here have forgotten alot of those cockroaches pollute so-called countless “socialist” spaces online and that our takes on AOC dont remotely register on the broader discourse

Which is why it’s so concerning so many in this thread believe Mike was referring to them specifically, Mike doesn’t even know we exist

It was started by Marxists who thought if that if they criticized liberal identity politics enough they could get reactionaries to develop class consciousness. Total idealism, but unfortunately that describes most of the US left.

Internet-brain is so cooked. There’s nothing to grift about if I’m not an online influencer. I just believe that politician should earn my vote, call me old-fashioned.
