I don’t understand how funeral homes work. Is there some monetary incentive to not processing the remains, and instead just leaving them to rot? Or is something much more disturbing going on?

I know tgat, in a previous similar event, the owners lost the contract of their go-to crematorium and then just stopped doing anything but take on more deceased, and their grieving families’ money, until they couldn’t fit anymore.

Their excuse was that there wasn’t a law against that specific abuse of a dead body at the time.

I don’t know either. It’s strange because news like this pops up every once in a while. I’m assuming it cost money to process the remains, so they hold off doing it, even after getting paid by the family. But I don’t know what’s up. But it’s horrible to think that someone’s loved one would just be rotting somewhere rather than treated with respect.
