I literally think all it takes for a man to impress Trump is to not be afraid of him (any subordinate is assumed to be here by default) but act like you respect him.
Imagine the sort of person who wants to be around Trump. Only the most empty, soulless, spineless, self-serving bootlickers would ever interact with him, people nakedly trying to steal a piece of his power and influence for themselves, people who only ever try to kiss ass and tell him what he wants to hear. No wonder he gravitates towards leaders who don’t bullshit him or kiss his ass, imagine his meetings with EU heads of state, then compare it to a meeting with Kim Jong Un.
