I respect the DPRK very much, and those little shits in SK just are complete takers, they won’t even help us stop Iran from getting nukes! Don’t they know that if Iran gets those nukes, it will force the US to show them respect like the DPRK?!?!

Thank You For Your Attention To This Matter

  • season 3 of Blowback, which i listened to back in 2022, was revelatory in my political evolution. it made me hope that i would see the reunification of the peninsula under a common, democratic project that punished imperial collaborators and ruthless exploiters while releasing the potential of a people that have been under the thumb of brutal imperial projects for over a century.

i can only hope the mechanisms and relationships that maintain the death cult-worshipping southern oligarchy atrophy beyond repair under what is left of the trump project, so that they cannot be re-established by whatever, more competent imperial steward comes next.

Someone should tell him how many military bases the US has in South Korea and what the cost of those bases is to the empire. Frame it in america-first terminology and he might give them the usaid treatment.

If it weren’t for him being a fascist piece of shit and inflicting harm and misery on millions of people, I would almost applaud him for the damage he’s doing to yankee global hegemony.

Genuinely doing more to help destroy the US empire than anyone else. The sheer incompetence on display and the constant destroying of everything his forebears built to ensure US global hegemony is just so incredible. Where was this energy during Trump I?

    • Well during Trump 1 he constantly switched between stuff like this and insisting so hard on the DPRK abandoning their nuclear program that Kim did a tableflip and left the US-DPRK summit in Hanoi. It’s not surprising he just does a rerun of that now, especially when you take into account that the US has just called off its last carrier group from the region because they need it to bomb children in Iran. Sorry, i’m not buying this JDPON DON nonsense, it’s not anti-imperialist to start another forever war because you refuse to force Israel to retreat from Lebanon, not even when it causes “instability” and “disrupts the hegemony” in highly stable world regions with the most solid hegemonial control like Northeast Asia and Western Europe that just react to this with further increasing the influence of their own MICs. I get why people here get excited, especially because it allows Amerikans to feel less like the absolute devils they are while not having to do anything, but i’m not buying this. If Trump was a serious threat to the empire, he would have been JFKed back in 2017.

You’re right about the JDPON Don stuff, it isn’t something serious, and I wasn’t being serious about it. Trump is very much a symptom of deep rooted issues, not the cause. I think this is more a sign of the entire US apparatus just crumbling, they can no longer project the global power they once held, but there is still a world of difference between “the empire is no longer as powerful as it was at its peak” and “the empire has collapsed.”

        • Yeah, i absolutely see the decline, but this can take ages. The British Empire has been in decline for a century, is only a shadow of what it was before the world wars and yet is still a major nuclear power that is engaged in imperialist projects all over the globe, and not only as an accomplice to the US. The capacity of the USA for violence is gigantic, and it will not go away overnight no matter how much Trump and Hegseth fuck up in picking fights and allocating troops and how much damage Iran does in fighting back. This war will likely cause wounds that never fully heal, but they will not slay the beast.

There were still Adults In The Room that tried to reduce the amount of damage. This time there isn’t

They probably need those assets in their harebrained war of aggression against Iran and “we’re mad at Sout Korea for mooching on us!” is a less embarrassing reason to give than “oh shit oh fuck we’re out of boats!”

These exercises are not only costly, with much of these costs paid for by the United States of America (as usual!), but send a signal that is totally inappropriate and hostile,

Lmao why do I feel like he just had a phone call w Kim and Kim convinced him of all this by flattering him and using this framing

I literally think all it takes for a man to impress Trump is to not be afraid of him (any subordinate is assumed to be here by default) but act like you respect him.

Imagine the sort of person who wants to be around Trump. Only the most empty, soulless, spineless, self-serving bootlickers would ever interact with him, people nakedly trying to steal a piece of his power and influence for themselves, people who only ever try to kiss ass and tell him what he wants to hear. No wonder he gravitates towards leaders who don’t bullshit him or kiss his ass, imagine his meetings with EU heads of state, then compare it to a meeting with Kim Jong Un.
