Is that something related to auditory processing disorder? I just realised I might have this.
Also when on a call with people and the connection is bad or there is background noise.
And some people I can straight up not understand at all. They use 10 filler words for every actual word they want to say, and i can never seems to put things together into some coherent message they are trying to convey
i think so yeah. like my brain cares more about making me aware of all the meaningless noise in the room than figuring out what someone is saying -.- there are definitely people i have a harder time understanding. there have been times someone has repeated something to me like 10 times and its just like… you need to use different words i have no fucking idea what youre trying to say to me lol.
I have a problem like this with accents. When I went to highschool it took me a long time to finally understand a guy whose parents are vietnamese. It was definitely 100% grammatically correct with more or less local accent, but the distinction took me embarrassingly too long to learn gradually.
probly lol. its really common in autistic people. i have this and also auditory sensitivity. its basically impossible for me to tune things out and loud noises are painful, especially high pitched stuff. i used to get really bad road rage and i realized recently a lot of it was just sensory overwhelm from the car noise, so now i drive with ear plugs in and its much better.
trying to socialize somewhere loud and being lucky to comprehend half the words people say 💀
being fucky to cum pre hand half the woods people gay? mmm
shakes head like a cartoon character bwuh sorry what were you saying again
