Keep your cats indoors. Your neighbors’ yards aren’t a free litter box and many people enjoy having birds and critters around.
They also live longer, happier lives. Outdoor cats have a lifespan of 2-5 years. Indoor cats have a lifespan of 15-20 years.

I fucking hate these dogs. In my country they’re largely owned by annoying right-wingers who don’t make any effort to train them and will frequently encourage their aggressive behavior. There have been too many incidents with them attacking people in streets and even the indigenous (who are often the victim of these attacks) have resorted to hunting them down.
I wish we would ban them because people have shown for too long that they won’t be making any effort to properly train them.
Also I find it funny how dumb fucks like Matt Walsh still associate them with minorities. That’s a dated stereotype that isn’t even true anymore. My recent stays at the US have had me witness far more poc owning Chihuahuas and Yorkies nowadays. Weather you want to believe or not, pitbulls are fighting dogs, why else would they be the dog of choice for dogmen (professional dog fighters) when it was a legal “sport” and still the dog of choice for illegal dog fighting rings now? Nobody is saying discriminating against the breed is racist to the dogs - the vilifying of pit bulls specifically is part of a longstanding and pernicious campaign of racial stereotyping of the dogs in association with their owners. Nah dog pitbulls need to go extinct. As do pugs, boxers, king charles spaniels, and every other dog bred to suffer. Pits suffer from being bred to be aggressive.
It’s pretty wild how even after like 1 or 2 generations of not being “purebred” they just become really sweet and playful. Maybe still have a bit more prey drive than other dogs, but it really wouldn’t be hard to “kill the Pit” by just shutting down the breeders and letting them become normal dogs.

I was agreeing with you, my only issue is with the entire concept of purebred dogs. Since that comes not only with health issues, but also socializing and training that fits them into the mold of that purebreed.
With Pitbulls, that tends to be training them to be fighting dogs. There are like 3 breeders around me that breed fighting dogs, and they’re all the pit breed.
Fighting dogs tend to be a mix of many bully breeds and others including German shepherd and mastiff. Pits were originally just a generic working dog. Before the stigma around them arose they were well regarded as loyal family dogs.
Still not good to be breeding fighting dogs, and definitely not good to be branding them as pits. It’s a self re-enforcing feedback loop.
I have a lot of friends with pits, and have no issues with them btw. I just hate purebreds lol. They shouldn’t exist and the practice of animal eugenics is disgusting and unnecessary.

I’m sorry, but my sweat little dog has been bit 4 times. Each time by a pitbull. No other breed has ever come close to biting her.
They can be sweet dogs. But they have very strong prey drives, and resource guarding. They will bite before they’ve even figured out what’s going on. I believe it’s been the resource guarding that caused each incident with my dog, but I saw one of the pitbulls that bit her kill a neighbors cat, and that was absolute prey drive. The cat was killed on its own property too, the dog was wondering by.
Not a single one of these pitbulls was a “problem animal”, by and human standare. It’s just how they react in certain situations and how powerful they are that make them incredibly dangerous.
