DNC Chair Ken Martin ordered a postmortem report after he assumed his post and said it would help the party learn from mistakes. Now he says releasing it would be a distraction.

The official added that as Democrats feel optimistic about their positioning ahead of the 2026 midterms, the national party committee didn’t want to turn the party’s focus backward.

“For a second we thought we’d actually have to do things, but thank God the Republicans are out there scaring the poors back in line and we can go back to do absolutely nothing. If the poors ever get uppity again, we’ll just remind them that it puts the neoliberalism on its skin or it gets the fascism again. The cycle must continue, same as it always has.”

Surely never learning anything from past mistakes is both a winning strategy and also something that the “adults in the room” should be proud to admit they’re doing

"In our conversations with stakeholders from across the Democratic ecosystem, we are aligned on what’s important, and that’s learning from the past and winning the future. Here’s our North Star: does this help us win? If the answer is no, it’s a distraction from the core mission,” the statement continues.

The core mission of keeping the billionaire donors happy.

Anyone see JB Pritzker’s AMA? Lots of questions about running more people with conviction and stopping ICE. Dude gave some bogus braveheart monologue without answering anything and even redditors called him out on it. Often times he wouldn’t even answer serious questions, would instead answer inane tripe ‘what’s your favorite state park to jack off in’

They’re going to use this to figure out how they can barely lose next time too. But they won’t lose the checks from the donor class.
