Fact is, most of the separate traditional Internet services – including niche interest fora – are now replicated entirely by Facebook.

Yes, the ads are targeted, in that the advertiser can target them at anyone. Not meaning that there’s magical correspondence between the actual content and the user’s behaviors.

If there was any monitoring at all there were automated filters ten years ago that could flag such explicit content. Facebook just doesn’t care as long as they make money.
It would be interesting to send this through a few filters and see if they flag it. Maybe they made something that tricks the filters. But probably I am giving too much credit to facebook
